if your donations are eligible for Gift Aid (this depends on your own tax status - for more information click here) please fill in the appropriate form and send it to us. That enables us to claim a further 25% of your donation and is a big extra support to the Foodbank.
Burntisland Community Award
We were delighted to hear that the Foodbank was nominated and chosen as Group winner of the Burntisland Community Award. The council noted the difficult circumstances of our creation and the continuity of support to vulnerable people in our community. We would Iike to recognise all our volunteers who have been such a critical part of this continuity, and the wonderful generosity of the communities of Burntisland, Kinghorn and Aberdour who stepped up so quickly to support the Foodbank in its new form.
About the Foodbank
Burntisland & Kinghorn Foodbank SCIO is a charity that provides food parcels to individuals in need. Food parcels are distributed twice a week from the Salvation Army Hall in Burntisland, on a Tuesday and a Friday from 12-2pm.
There is no need for a referral to use the Foodbank and no appointment is needed. We provide a friendly welcome to anyone who is in need. We believe that nobody should go hungry. [...]
